| The Eland (Tragelaphus oryx) is the largest antelope. Both sexes have spiral horns, but the female's are shorter and thinner. The Eland is very adaptable to its habitat and diet, which is varied. It is predominately a browser. Like the camel, it can go indefinitely without drinking. It can also allow its body temperature to raise 7 degrees by day, and let the night temperature cool it back down. | ||||||||||||
