| Here is another look at the deep-set eyes and the massive muzzle that contains those enormous teeth. During the last century this muzzle was considered a primitive trait retaining canine features; hence its latin name "Cynocephalus" meaning dog-headed. Actually, the muzzle, which had been lost, re-evolved in order to hold those enormous teeth when baboons came down from the trees to become more terrestrial.
