| The Ground Hornbill (Bucorvus leadbeateri), shown here, and the closely related Abyssinian Ground Hornbill are the largest of the African Hornbills. It is largely terrestrial. Its plumage is black. It has white primaries which are visible only in flight. It frequents open country and sparse woodland. | ||||||||||
