| The Thomson's black tail is in constant pendulum-like motion across the white rump. This is most likely a species recognition signal, very efficient at distances. They are vulnerable to a wide range of predators from lions to wild dogs and cheetah. The Tommy runs faster than any animal other than the cheetah, but it tires easily, and is completely exhausted after a couple of miles. | ||||||||||
