"There She Blows!"
			The cow leaves the herd to give birth and rejoins them in about 2 weeks, by which time she has bonded with her calf. The newborn will weigh from 50-100 pounds. It will nurse for 8-12 months and will achieve sexual maturity at 9 years if a female, later if a male. It will live about 24 years.
