"Topsy Turvy!"
Vervets are born at an advanced stage and grow faster than most other Guenons. The mothers allow handling of young by other group members, but prefer the higher ranking females. There is social grooming, nose-to-nose greeting and a repertoire of 60 physically identifiable gestures and 36 physically distinct sounds.
