"Daydreaming!"
Vervets have a varied social organization. They often associate with and compete with Blue Monkeys. Both sexes are territorial and there are multimale groups. They are a hierarchy of families who sleep, forage and rest together. Males emigrate at 5 years of age, while females stay home. Like baboons, the mother's rank determines the rank of the offspring. Females and young are more hostile to neighboring females and young than to males.
