"No Swimming!"
The Nile Crocodile is found throughout all Africa (except the Sahara). It occurs in rivers, estuaries, swamps and lakes. Crocodiles swim fast only to escape danger or to pursue prey. The tail is powerful enough to propel the animal virtually out of the water to snatch an animal drinking at the shoreline. Anyone who has ever seen migration pictures of wildebeest and zebra crossing the River Mara know how fast they can strike.
