			The bulls may tolerate male acquaintances as long as they are submissive. Cows with calves tend to stay alone. At times they will allow an unrelated immature male or female to attach itself after rejection by its own mother, and will allow them to remain until maturity. They often associate briefly, and amicably at water holes and salt licks. Black rhino meetings however are typically accompanied by displays of bluff and bluster.
