"Rhino in Blue"
Getting a Little Close
The Black Rhino is smaller than the White or Indian Rhino. Each foot has 3 digits and weight is born on the middle digit. Both sexes have horns which are not a bony core, but made out of keratin (like our hair or nails). It cements to the nasal bone as it grows and even regenerates when broken. Hair is present only on ears, eyebrows and tail.
