| The Warthog is diurnal and has a variable temperature. It needs a deep burrow to protect it from predators which it also uses as protection from changes in temperature and humidity. The young rush into the burrows head first, and the adults back in to protect the entrance with their tusks. They prefer a used burrow, but can dig their own using their snout. It loves wallowing in the mud, as do all in the Family Suidae. | ||||||||||
