"A Guy Walks into a Bar..."
Charley, Somebody's Watching Us!!
Warthogs inhabit open woodlands and grasslands throughout most of Africa, south of the Sahara. Their home range is about 1 1/2 square miles. They prefer areas that are much drier than that chosen by most pigs, but these areas are usually close to water. They feed almost entirely on grasses, supplemented occasionally with some fruits, earthworms, and insects. Their teeth are high-crowned. Premolars are lost and the third molar moves forward and enlarges as the animals mature. The anterior molars are then lost and the older animals are left with one huge molar in each jaw.
