"I Think I'm Lost!"
Young males from 2-15 live in stable bachelor herds. They are usually led by a young adult. This rank is based on age only. They 'horse around' and practice their adult roles with play fights and greeting and challenge rituals. The males often leave at 5 years of age and wander about, seeking out estrous females. This is about the only time a zebra is found alone. I don't know what this colt is doing out on its own.
