Chimpanzees are able to utilize natural objects as tools. They use a stick or vine to probe holes in trees or logs to catch ants or termites. Here at the zoo, they probe for peanut butter. They also use rocks to crush open nuts, leaves as sponges, and even sticks and rocks as weapons.
