RED BIRDS IN THE SUNSET

A lttle drip of water!!

In the wild a flamingo's usually white feathers will turn red because of the crustaceans they eat. It's like what happens if you eat too many carrots. Your skin turns a little orange. Here at the zoo they add roxanthin to their food to produce the red.
